12/6/09 LAST LESSON!!!

Today is our last lesson and we went on a website called http://www.teach-ict.com/ks3_old/unit8_2/starters/hangman_web.htm We played some games for example hangman or durkin teacher and it tested our vocabularies and ict knowledge things but it was quite boring and I thought doing something else would use the time a bit better even though it was revision because I didnt find it much use.

After that, we did a test on http://msc-ks3technology.wikispaces.com/Year+8+ICT and ms czirok immediately received it.

Today, we had a cover lesson. We did task 9 and linked pages using dream weaver. I made my homepage with links "youtube, facebook, google, cas week, the concert and the oliver." I didnt know what the oliver meant so I did the original "the oscar". The lesson was quite confusing but I still did the homepage although i skipped some of part 9.

3) How has the layout been chosen to appeal to the target audience? Explain your answer with an example.		Less colors so it looks less childish	The layout is quite interesting and it scrolls sideways when choosing gamnes and characters so it attracts children.

6) Are the links to other pages easy to find? Explain your answer with an example.		yes. Not too much things stuffed together in one page.	The links that are on the page are big and stands out. They are single so they are easy to read and see.
7) Which website do you think matches the intended audience best of all? Explain your answer with some examples. I think andertoons.com is more suitable because cartoonnetwork.com has too much colours and it looks really childish. On the otherhand, andertoons.com looks less childish so it suits the age group who are teenagers.

This is the screen grab of Mr Service and Ms Adams in a recycling box! The program we used were Xara Xtreme and Adobe Photoshop. All the fonts, shapes and transperant stuff were all made in Xara Xtreme and this screen grab and copying the teachers face on the box was using Adobe Photoshop.

9/1/09 Mr Cottam

Today, we used adobe photoshop to copy Mr Cottam onto the "coast" picture. First, we cut the outline and the background of the original picture of Mr Cottam. Then, we copied the picture of mr cottam, without the background, onto the "coast" picture. We changed the picture smaller and larger. Then we pressed the text button and typed "HI THERE". We saved it as a jpeg file, psd file and a png file.

Today I learned how to post images
on blogger! First, you have to save the image as a j-peg file. Then you go to "add image" on blogger and browse the picture. Then you choose it and upload it!
